I'm blessed to be doing what I love--making music-- now for over fifty years and counting. Here I am updating my bio, learning a new operating system on my new computer, meeting new musicians, and singing more. I love it!!

Stefan Scaggiari (Italian), pronounced Ska-jar-ee, has performed as Soloist with the Indianapolis Symphony, the Evansville Philharmonic, the Kansas City Symphony, the Florida Orchestra, the Calgary Philharmonic, the Rochester Philharmonic, the Aspen Festival Orchestra, the Annapolis Symphony, and the Annapolis Chorale Chamber Orchestra. He has been heard by millions on National Public Radio's Week-End Edition Sunday and recorded 9 albums on Concord Records--3 as leader, and 3 more under his own label Stefco Music. He has written spots for ABC Sports, the IRS, and has arrangements for Symphony Orchestra. An alumnus of the U.S. Marine Band "The President's Own", he has performed at the White House over 200 times. Stef is currently music director at Unity by the Bay Church in Annapolis, MD.
Highlights as a jazz musician include 30 years of music-making with the great Ethel Ennis; 3 tours of Japan with the Carol Sloane Group, and 9 years as music director at the famous King of France Tavern in Annapolis, MD; Stef has performed with Sammy Davis at the White House, Dizzy Gillespie and the National Synphony at the Kennedy Center, and twice played for Frank Sinatra.
His international travels include Holland (Heinekin Festival), Japan (Concord/Fujitsu tour), Brazil, Canada, Mexico Turkey, (European Jazz Festival), and Italy (Saluzzo Festival).
Stef is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music and has a Master's Degree from the Peabody Conservatory, studying with the world renowned pianist Leon Fleisher.
He lives with his wife Debora on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
They have been married for 30 years and have two daughters Melissa and Angela.
